New Jersey: NASA has hired 24 religious leaders, including Muslims, Christians and Jews, as part of a new program.
The program, which runs for almost a year, aims to get to know, understand, and determine the most appropriate response to a religious approach to contact with space creatures.
It should be noted that apart from the Earth-like planets in the universe, the chances of finding intelligent and advanced human-like creatures are very bright, but so far we have not had any contact with any such 'space creatures'.
We may not find any trace of space creatures for thousands of years to come, but it is also possible that in the next few months we will receive a message from an intelligent space creature like ourselves.
In that case, what should be our most comprehensive response as a whole human race that expresses our religious beliefs as well as our level of knowledge? That is the purpose of this plan.
The year-long program, entitled The Social Implications of Astronomical Biology, is being held at Princeton University, New Jersey's Center for Theological Inquiry, or CTI for short.
Details of the program have surfaced in the American newspaper The Times, leading to speculation that NASA may have discovered a space creature or linked it to an intelligent space creature. However, no confirmation or denial has been made by NASA so far.
