ISLAMABAD: A reduction in the age limit for those taking booster doses has been announced in Pakistan, after which people above 18 years of age will be able to take booster doses.
According to details, the National Command and Operations Center has reduced the age limit for those who apply booster doses after the fifth wave of Corona intensified in Pakistan, the decision was taken at the NCOC meeting.
The NCOC said in a statement on the social networking site Twitter that people over the age of 18 in the country can get a booster vaccine six months after the completion of the booster vaccine. In Todays NCOC session, age limit for booster dose has been further reduced. From tomorrow onwards, citizens over 18 years will be eligible for free booster dose of their choice. Booster (one dose) will be administered after 6 months gap from complete vaccination.
It may be recalled that on December 1, the NCOC had approved booster dose of corona vaccine. In the first phase, it will be given to front line workers, persons above 50 years of age and people with weakened immune system. The break was declared mandatory.
Later, the National Command and Operations Center lowered the age limit for booster doses, saying that people over the age of 30 would be able to take booster doses.
