LONDON: One million birds have been killed so far in the UK after 12 people became infected with bird flu on December 11.
After 12 small and large cases of H5N1 bird flu and 63 cases of H1N1 bird flu have been reported in the UK, the zoo has said that British authorities have killed one million birds. However, the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) acknowledged only the extinction of birds but did not say how many.
It should be noted that H5N1 or the notorious bird flu is actually a bird flu that spreads rapidly and a large number of birds die on their own. In some cases, the bird flu virus can be transmitted from animals to humans, and there have been countless cases.
Alan Gosling, 79, is the first British man to be affected last year because he kept ducks at home. However, according to the British Health Security Agency, the chances of a person being infected with bird flu are very low. Authorities, on the other hand, have asked all bird keepers to keep the birds in captivity or indoors as they can carry the flu virus from other birds.
