Another girl who came to watch the snowfall in Murree died, bringing the death toll to 23 due to heavy snowfall and the worst traffic jams.
According to rescue sources, a 4-year-old girl died due to severe cold in Jhika Gali area of Murree. The girl was suffering from severe cold and pneumonia.
Rescue sources said that the girl had come to Murree from Lahore with her parents but was trapped with her family in heavy snowfall.
How is Murree now?
Relief work has intensified in Murree after the snowfall subsided and all major highways of the tourist destination have been restored to traffic, while Pakistan Army engineers and young men are busy opening roads at Kaldana and Barian.
According to the local administration, traffic has been cleared from Jhika Gali to Expressway and from Jhika Gali to Kaldana.
The road from Lower Topa is also clear while heavy machinery is being used to remove snow from various roads of Galyat.
