Israel's interior minister has introduced a bill that would bar Palestinians from living in Israel with their Israeli spouses.
According to the Times of Israel, the new citizenship law bill has been presented to the Ministry of Legislative Committee, after which it will be presented in the Israeli parliament Knesset, where after a majority vote, it will be enacted into law.
The bill was introduced in 2003 but was repealed in July due to a lack of a majority vote. This time, efforts are being made to legalize it at the formal and official level.
Introducing the bill, the interior minister said the number of Jews in Israel was at risk and that if Palestinians were allowed to stay, attacks on Israelis would increase.
