Why was Virat Kohli removed from the captaincy? The head of the Indian Cricket Board explained the reason

Saro Ganguly, president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has given reasons for removing Virat Kohli from the captaincy of the ODI team.

"We had asked Virat Kohli not to resign as captain of the T20 team, but he did not want to continue captaining in the T20 format," said Saro Ganguly, according to popular cricket website Kirk Info. Later, the selectors thought that there could not be two separate captains in two formats of white ball.

It is to be noted that Virat Kohli was removed from the captaincy of ODI format by the Indian board after T20 yesterday and Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the captain of the team in his place. Virat Kohli will only captain the Test team. ۔
