Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has said that Pakistani film and cricket fans will be very happy to see his upcoming sports film '83.
Ranveer Singh's film '83' will be released on December 24 next week on the eve of Christmas, which is based on the struggle of the Indian cricket team to win the first World Cup 1983.
When Ranveer Singh, along with his wife Deepika Padukone and others, arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the promotion of the film recently, a Pakistani journalist asked him about the film while talking to reporters.
When asked by a Pakistani journalist, Ranveer Singh recognized him by his voice that the person asking the question was a Pakistani.
Later, Ranveer Singh, while replying to a Pakistani journalist, said that there is a special scene in his upcoming film, which Pakistani fans will be very happy to see.
Laughing, Ranveer Singh said that he could not say anything about the aforesaid scene, however, he definitely said that Pakistani fans will be very happy to see it and Pakistanis should watch '83' in any case.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranveer Singh said that '83' is a very lovely movie and every movie and cricket fan should watch it.
Clips of his film trailer were also shown on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, while '83' was also screened at the World Film Festival in Saudi Arabia last week.
The trailer for the sports film '83' was released in November last year and it was announced to be released on December 24.
The story of the film revolves around the first Cricket World Cup won by India in 1983, in which Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of Kapil Dev, the then captain of the cricket team.
Deepika Padukone will also be seen playing the role of Rumi Bhatia, Ranveer Singh's wife, Kapil Devi's wife, while other cast members of the film include Saleem Saqib, Pankaj Tripathi and Bowman Irani.
The released trailer of the film shows the actors playing the roles of the players of the Indian team that played in the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
The film also stars Deepika Padukone in the role of top government officials from the West Indies and other countries and players including the cricket administration.
The trailer also features all the players of the then Indian team including Ravi Shastri and Mohammad Azharuddin.
