Our one year on this planet is equal to 16 hours

The Jupiter-like planet TOI-2109b is about 800 light-years from Earth, but the speed of its orbit around its star is so high that it completes one year in just 16 hours. ۔

NASA space researcher Ian Wang said that the temperature of this planet is much higher than other planets. He said that the features of all the planets observed in the last ten years are very rare.

Large gas-laden planets are rare, but for scientists, such a giant planet with a warm temperature and gas so close to a star is the rarest.

The Transiting Exoplant Survey Satellite (TESS) is a satellite orbiting the Earth that scientists use to explore other solar systems. The satellite has been observing the planet since 2020. The satellite would receive a transit signal from the planet every 16 hours. And this signal always comes when the planet is between its star and the satellite, that is, it completes its orbit in 16 hours.
