Security forces foiled an assassination attempt on Turkish President Tayyab Erdogan.
According to private TV, Turkish security forces foiled an attempt to bomb Turkish President Recep Tayyab Erdogan with a bomb blast in Sira province. Turkish media say Erdogan was attending a rally in Sira province. Security forces recovered a bomb from under the vehicle guarding the rally, which was immediately defused by the bomb disposal squad.
According to Turkish media, forensic teams have cordoned off the car after the incident and collected fingerprints and other evidence, while further investigation has been launched in this regard.
