About eleven dinosaur fossils have been found from a single site in Italy, making it the largest and most important discovery ever made in the country.

Frederico Fanti, a professor at the University of Bologna, says that although Italy is not famous for its dinosaurs, it now has a large herd of animals. Frederico is the head of the research, which has published detailed accounts in scientific reports.
All the dinosaurs were found in a place called Vallejo del Pescator. Remains of many young dinosaurs have been found here, the most complete being Bruno. Bruno's structure is largely complete and the largest ever. Remains of insects such as mosquitoes, flying reptiles and shrimp have also been found with them.
Earlier, footprints of a crocodile-like animal were found on the famous Alps in Italy.
