Airbus A340, a European multinational aircraft maker, made history by landing on the icy runways of the world's seventh continent, Antarctica.
According to private TV, the flight of Portuguese airline High Fly took off from Cape Town, the capital of South Africa on the morning of November 2.

The flight covered 2,500 nautical miles in 5 hours and reached Antarctica, setting a new record by landing on an icy runway.
The crew spent three and a half hours in Antarctica.
