In Test cricket, national fast bowlers have taken 100 wickets in a year for the first time in Pakistan's Test history.
The previous record was set in 1993 when Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis took 99 wickets in one year due to the excellent performance of Pakistani fast bowlers. This year Pakistani fast bowlers have taken 102 wickets so far. Shah Afridi has taken 44 wickets while Hassan Ali has taken 39 wickets.
