The decapitated body of a young Afghan women's volleyball player has been found.
On the microblogging site Twitter, Mazhajan Sadat, a female volleyball player, appealed to FIFA and the Prime Minister of Canada to help evacuate Afghan women players, saying that a fellow player was slaughtered with a sharp knife. ۔
Mazhajan Sadat also shared a photo in which a deep wound can be seen by stabbing a dead woman in the neck. According to him, this picture is of his teammate.
Earlier, the same photo was shared by an Afghan social worker and the Taliban was accused of killing a female volleyball player, but no further details were released.
According to social activist Zala Zazai, about 30 female volleyball players are currently in Kabul hoping to go abroad, but they are nowhere to be heard and their lives are in danger.
Since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, female athletes have been feeling insecure. Last month, dozens of female players and coaches arrived in Pakistan and left for the United Kingdom, while a few days ago, more than 100 female footballers arrived in Qatar.
The Taliban has not commented on the incident.
