In the African country of Kenya, a serial killer "bloodthirsty vampire" who killed children after sucking their blood was killed by a mob.

According to foreign media, 20-year-old Mestin Melimo Wanjala was arrested on July 14 for the disappearance of two children. When he was interrogated, he revealed that he had killed at least 10 other people in the last five years. Sometimes he would suck blood from their veins before killing them. He was to be produced in court, but he escaped and reached his home 400 km away.

Kenyan officials say the suspect, known as the bloodthirsty vampire, was in his home when schoolchildren recognized him and shouted at the villagers. To escape from the mob, the accused fled and entered the neighbor's house, but the mob dragged him out and beat him to death.
