Pakistan cricket team captain and legendary batsman Babar Azam is celebrating his 27th birthday today.
Babar Azam was born in Lahore on October 15, 1994. Seeing his cousins Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal playing for the national team, Babar Azam also developed an interest in cricket and decided to make cricket his profession. Also played
Babar Azam made his international debut in the Pakistan vs Zimbabwe series played in Lahore in May 2015. His impressive debut opened the door for him in ODI and Test cricket where he has made a name for himself. He scored 54 runs in his debut match against Zimbabwe.
In the series against England, he scored 62 runs in the first ODI with a strike rate of 100 and remained unbeaten. His brilliant batting played an important role in the victory of the national team.
Babar Azam is leading the Pakistani cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2021. The national team is arriving in Dubai today on a chartered flight where it will play its opening match in the World Cup against India.
