Taking notice of the bride's leave through an excavator in Hunza district of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Assistant Commissioner sought clarification from the excavator operator.
The incident took place in Ghalkin village of Gojal Valley in the upper part of Hunza district, where the bride and groom were taken home by excavator after the wedding ceremony.
Videos and photos of the bride and groom being driven home by an excavator have also gone viral on social media.
After the videos of the incident went viral, Assistant Commissioner Gojal termed the process of delivering the bride and groom on an excavator as an irresponsible act and summoned the excavator operator for clarification.
At the same time, Assistant Commissioner Gojal has issued a formal notice in this regard.
The assistant commissioner said in his notice that he had received information on social media about the incident of the bride and groom being escorted home with their belongings on the wedding day.
The notice said the role of the excavator operator in the act was against the law as there was a risk of injury to anyone.
In this regard, Shehzad Hussain, a local youth from Hunza, said that the bride and groom in wedding attire took the initiative to go home in an excavator to gain fame.
Social media users have expressed displeasure over the act, while some have called it an attempt to tarnish the culture of the area for cheap fame.
