During the press conference, Nawab Malik, cabinet minister and chief spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party, said that on the night of October 2, when the ship was raided by the NCB, Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant were seen going with two unidentified persons. ۔ Both have links to senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers.
During the press conference, Nawab Malik shared two videos with the media in which one person can be seen going to the NCB office with Aryan while the other person is present with Arbaaz Merchant. The man who was present with Aryan also took a selfie with Aryan after his arrest.
Congress spokesperson Nawab Malik also gave a presentation during the press conference in which he presented all the evidence he had presented. Nawab Malik said that after the arrest, an unknown person had taken a selfie with Aryan which later went viral on social media. The NCB had expressed ignorance about the man, saying he did not belong to the agency. We traced the man, who turned out to be from the BJP and claimed to be a private detective.
Spokesperson Nawab Malik further said that the person who was seen with Aryan was named KP Gosavi and the person who was with Arbaaz Merchant was Manish Bhanushali and both of them were BJP representatives. There are also pictures of him with BJP leaders and Narendra Modi.
On the other hand, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), responding to the Nationalist Congress Party's allegations, said that both Aryan and Arbaaz were independent witnesses. The NCB also declined to comment further on the matter.
It may be recalled that on the night of October 2, the NCB raided a party on a ship off the coast of Mumbai and seized a large quantity of drugs. ۔ Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was also present on the ship.
However, Aryan was arrested on October 3, the second day of the raid, based on evidence gathered against him. He was later produced in court, where he was remanded in NCB custody till October 7.
