Australia decides to lift 18-month travel ban

Australia has decided to lift 18-month travel bans on the corona virus.

According to the French news agency AFP, the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said that the target of vaccinating 80% of the people has been achieved, so now citizens will be allowed to go abroad and those who are abroad will be allowed to come to Australia soon. ۔

According to reports, the travel ban is likely to end next month and a formal announcement will be made in a few weeks.

In March last year, Australia imposed the toughest travel bans on the corona virus.

Countless international flights were canceled, limited number of people were allowed to travel and Australians abroad were barred from returning.

In the first five months of this year, the Australian government rejected more than 100,000 applications to leave the country.

However, the Australian Prime Minister has stated that "the time has come for us to allow Australians to live their lives as before, we are preparing for this and very soon Australia will be ready to fly high."

Scott Morrison added that vaccinated Australians will now be able to quarantine 7 days instead of 14 on their return home and that this quarantine will not be done at home.
