PML-N National Assembly member Javed Latif said that Nawaz Sharif had not given a final opinion on the bill to extend the tenure of the army chief.
Nawaz Sharif said that the matter should be discussed in the standing committee. Nawaz Sharif said that the final decision would be taken after the discussion. The parliamentary committee said that the matter would move forward if Nawaz Sharif said so. Nawaz Sharif had not given a final opinion on the issue. If Nawaz Sharif had been in the country, the extension bill would not have been passed. Even if Maryam Nawaz was a Member of Parliament, the extension bill would not have been passed.
It is to be noted that Maryam Nawaz while talking to the media today had said that the PML-N which had voted to extend the tenure of the Army Chief was not a part of it.
