US President Joe Biden has said that he decided to end the Afghan war.
Addressing the American people, he said, "In Afghanistan, we broke the back of ISIS, trained 30,000 Afghan soldiers for 20 years. We believed that Afghan security forces could fight the Taliban. The United States has no idea." Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was expected to flee the country. He met the dangerous challenge of withdrawing troops and civilians from Kabul under difficult circumstances. He approved the deployment of 6,000 US troops for the security of Kabul. Thanks to the forces and diplomatic staff, 100 to 200 Americans are still in Afghanistan. There is no substitute for the 13 American soldiers killed in the ISIS attack. The decision to work with the Taliban will be premature. Whoever wants to leave, let the Taliban fulfill their promise.
