They want the same relationship with the United States as they have with India, Prime Minister

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the United States had invaded Afghanistan to fight terrorism but as a result of unstable Afghanistan, the threat of terrorism will increase again.

Talking to CNN, the Prime Minister said that the situation in Afghanistan is disturbing and it is at a historic juncture now, if there is peace after 40 years and the Taliban take control of the whole of Afghanistan and establish a comprehensive government. If we work for and unite all factions, then Afghanistan can have peace after 40 years.

He warned that if this process fails, which we are very worried about, it will lead to chaos, create the biggest humanitarian crisis, create a refugee problem, and destabilize Afghanistan.

He said that the purpose of the US visit to Afghanistan was to fight terrorism and global terrorists, so unstable Afghanistan, the refugee crisis could lead to another terrorist threat from Afghanistan.

"None of us can predict what will happen to Afghanistan from here, we can only hope and pray that there will be peace after 40 years," Imran Khan said. "The Taliban said it was a comprehensive government." They want to give women rights according to their ideas, they want to provide human rights, they have announced a general amnesty, all these things indicate that they want the international community to recognize them.

"Afghanistan cannot be controlled from the outside, they have a history, no puppet government in Afghanistan has been supported by the people, so sit here and think we can control them," he said. Instead, we should help them because the current Afghan government feels that without international support and assistance, they will not be able to stop this crisis.

Asked about the Taliban's denial of rights to Afghan women, she said it was a misconception that someone from outside would give Afghan women their rights. "Afghan women are strong, give them time, they themselves." Will get their rights.

He said that Pakistan has suffered a lot since it became an ally of the United States after 9/11. There was a time when 50 extremist groups were attacking Pakistan. In the 80s, Pakistan sided with the United States against the Soviet Union. Granted, we trained the mujahideen to wage jihad in Afghanistan. The mujahideen included al-Qaeda and the Taliban, and at the time it was considered a sacred task.

The Prime Minister said that after 9/11, the United States needed us in Afghanistan, George W. Bush sought Pakistan's help and said at the time that we would not leave Pakistan alone again, Pakistan became part of the US war, if I were the Prime Minister, I would never do that.

He said that at first they were Mujahideen but later we were telling them that because the US has invaded Afghanistan, now your work is terrorism, they have become our opponents and all the tribes of Pakistan and the Pashtun population are also Taliban. The reason was not religion but the fact that they were also Pashtuns.

"As a result of America's support, the jihadists turned against us, the Pashtuns turned against us, and the more we conducted military operations in urban areas, the more losses we suffered and 50 extremist groups at a time," he said. They were attacking Pakistan.

Imran Khan said that along with the attacks of these groups, 480 US drone strikes were carried out in Pakistan and this was the first time that a country was attacked by its own ally in a war.

During the program, the Prime Minister was briefed by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on the situation in Afghanistan, in which he blamed Pakistan for the situation and accused it of harboring terrorists, including the Haqqani Network. ۔

On this the Prime Minister said that I have heard them and I have not seen anyone ignoring them like this, they have no idea what happened in Afghanistan, they are all in a state of power, the state of Pakistan is actually supporting the United States.

"The Americans have no idea what the Haqqani network is. The Haqqanis are a Pashtun tribe living in Afghanistan. When the Afghan jihad took place 40 years ago, 5 million Afghan refugees came to us. Some of them were from the Haqqani tribe and the Haqqanis," he said. The members of the network were fighting the Soviets and were born in Pakistani refugee camps.

"They are telling us to look at the 3 million people who are Taliban or not, as far as funding is concerned, Pakistan has a budget of 50 billion for 220 million people and the Americans are there," he said. Spending more than 300 million a day and spending more than 2 trillion, did we have the capacity to fund another war?

When the Prime Minister was asked about the Pakistani intelligence agencies' links to the Afghan Taliban, he said that the intelligence agencies are in touch with everyone, that is their job, the US CIA will talk to the Afghan Taliban because they talk.

He said the question was whether Pakistan was in a position to launch a military operation against the Afghan Taliban while the Pakistani Taliban were attacking the state of Pakistan from within.

"It's not about the Taliban, it's about the people of Afghanistan, and if the international community doesn't help the people of Afghanistan today, what option do we have?" He said.

In response to a question, he said that the United States had given us 9 billion in civilian aid and 11 billion in military aid and that our situation was like a rented gun. We were expected to send aid to Afghanistan. Let me win a war we could never do.

The Prime Minister said that the people of Pakistan feel that bomb blasts are taking place here and there because of being a part of America's war, Benazir Bhutto was killed because of it, our economy lost 150 billion.

Imran Khan said that I want the same relationship with the United States as they have with India, it should not be a unilateral relationship that they are giving us money for war, we want good relations.

Asked about the dangers facing Pakistan if the situation in Afghanistan does not improve, he said that the biggest threat to Pakistan is the influx of refugees, there are already 3 million refugees in our country, our country can not afford more refugees, we We have come out of a difficult situation so we can no longer bear the burden of refugees.

"We have the second threat from terrorism, we have the threat of three types of terrorism, the first threat is from the terrorists in Afghanistan who can use it to attack us on this land which includes ISIS, Baloch," he said. Terrorists and the Pakistani Taliban.

"If there is chaos and chaos in Afghanistan, we will have to face these two problems and most of all, we will have to suffer the consequences," he said.
