Qatar's Deputy Foreign Minister Lulu al-Khater says the Taliban have demonstrated a great deal of pragmatism, and that the Taliban should be tested by their actions.
In an interview with a foreign news agency, Qatar's Deputy Foreign Minister Luluha Al-Khater said that the Taliban should be tested by their actions, we are not in a hurry to recognize the Taliban.
"We will not cut ties with the Taliban, we will take a middle ground, the future of Afghans should be decided by Afghans, not the international community," he said.
Qatar's assistant foreign minister says Afghanistan's new ruling Taliban have shown some good behavior. The evacuation of Afghans, including women and students, from Kabul would not have been possible without the Taliban's cooperation.
Luluha Al-Khater also said that if the Taliban respected human rights, especially women's educational rights, it would have benefits and if it did not, it would have consequences.
