Tel Aviv: The leader of the Palestinian Al-Aqsa Brigade, imprisoned in Israel's safest Galliva prison, managed to escape with his five comrades by making a tunnel from the washroom to the other side of the prison.
According to the international news agency, Zakaria Zubeidi, the commander of Al-Aqsa Brigade, an organization fighting against the liberation of Palestine and the Jewish state, who was serving a life sentence in an Israeli prison, worked secretly to get out of the prison along with five of his comrades.
To get out of jail, the insurgents removed the washroom commode, dug in with rusty spoons and managed to build a long tunnel. The front end of the tunnel was taken out of the jail and 6 people managed to get out through a small hole.
Farmers working in the fields outside the jail said they saw six suspects fleeing. Images that have gone viral on social media show Israeli police staring at the small tunnel.
