Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been arrested in the Javed Akhtar defamation case.
According to Indian media reports, a Mumbai court has warned actress Kangana Ranaut that if she does not appear in court on the next date of hearing in the Javed Akhtar contempt case, her arrest warrant will be issued. The court has ordered the next hearing of the case on September 20.
On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut's lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui has submitted the medical report of the actress in the court in which it is said that Kangana Ranaut has shown signs of code 19.

According to the lawyer, Kangana Ranaut has traveled a lot in the last 15 days in connection with the promotion of her upcoming film "Thalai V" and has met many people. Therefore, he has asked the court for another seven days so that Kangana Ranaut can recover and his code 19 can also be tested. He also said that Kangana Ranaut could be present in the court through a virtual hearing.
Meanwhile, Javed Akhtar's lawyer says that all this has been done only to delay the hearing. Javed Akhtar is sincerely coming to the court for every hearing.
The judge ordered the next hearing on September 20 and warned Kangana Ranaut that if the actress did not appear in court for the next hearing, her arrest warrants would be issued.
It may be recalled that last year, renowned Indian poet Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation suit against actress Kangana Ranaut in the Mumbai Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, alleging that the actress had mocked him on national television and actor Shashant Singh Rajput. Made baseless comments in his statements on the death of which has damaged his dignity.
