Argentina decides to buy JF-17 Thunder aircraft from Pakistan

Latin American country Argentina has decided to buy 12 JF-17 Thunder aircraft from Pakistan.

According to a foreign website, Argentina wants to buy 12 JF-17 aircraft from Pakistan. The Argentine government has also presented a draft budget in the House of Representatives. The Argentine government has set aside 66 664 million for the purchase of the planes.

Argentina wants to buy 10 single-seater and 2 double-seater aircraft from Pakistan. Earlier, it wanted to buy such aircraft from Britain and South Korea.

It should be noted that JF-17 Thunder is a fighter aircraft developed by Pakistan and China. Its usefulness became apparent to the world on February 27, 2019 when the Pakistan Air Force thwarted the Indian Air Force's incursion into the Line of Control (LoC) and shot down two Indian fighter jets. One Indian fighter jet crashed in occupied Kashmir while the other crashed in Pakistan's Azad Kashmir region. Nandan, the pilot wing commander of the Indian MiG-21, was also arrested after it was shot down in Azad Kashmir.
