Russian media claims that Ukrainian plane was hijacked in Afghanistan

The Russian news agency has claimed that a Ukrainian plane was hijacked in Afghanistan, but Ukraine has denied this.

According to a report by the Russian news agency Toss, the Ukrainian Deputy Minister said that the Ukrainian plane arrived in Kabul to evacuate the passengers from Afghanistan, after which armed hijackers took the plane from Kabul to Iran yesterday.

According to the deputy minister, the hijacked plane was carrying other citizens besides Ukrainians.

The Deputy Minister said that our next three evacuation attempts have not been successful as our people have not been able to enter the airport.

According to Russian media, the deputy minister did not say what condition the plane is in now and what efforts will be made to free it from hijackers.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has denied that the plane was hijacked, saying that the Ukrainian plane was sent to Kabul to evacuate civilians.
