KARACHI: A 6-year-old child was killed in a grenade attack in Baldia Town after which 13 people were killed in the attack. All the bodies were buried in Quaidabad Sherpao Colony.
A grenade attack on a mini-truck in Baldia Town Mowach Goth killed 12 people. Another injured 6-year-old Fahad Khan son of Shamshir Khan died today, bringing the death toll to 13.
The child was undergoing treatment at NICH Jinnah. He was shifted to NICH from Civil Hospital after first aid. Seven injured in the blast are being treated. The condition of one of them is critical.
It may be mentioned that Shamshir Khan's two children Sufyan Khan, 13, Hamad Khan, 11, and his wife Saleema Bibi, 50, died on the spot. He succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Nusrat Bibi, daughter of Dildar Khan, 40-year-old Sharafat, wife of Meraj Muhammad Khan, 45-year-old Shaheen Begum, wife of Dildar Khan, 2 brothers, 12-year-old Usman Khan and 15-year-old Salman son of Rahm Dil Khan, 24. Aqsa's daughter Sher Ali, 2 brothers, 12-year-old Hammad and 13-year-old Sufyan son of Shamshir.
Those being treated at the Civil Hospital include 25-year-old Sameera daughter Farman, 35-year-old Wazir's wife Shahid, 34-year-old Sakina's wife Izhar, 35-year-old Rukhsana's wife Abdul Rasheed, 30-year-old Iqra's wife Sher Ali, 45-year-old Safia and Sajid. The condition is said to be critical.

Meanwhile, funeral prayers were offered for all the victims of the blast at Star Ground in Quaidabad Sherpao Colony. Every eye was on this occasion and there was an atmosphere of mourning in the area.
Funeral prayers were offered by Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Karachi. Funeral prayers were attended by loved ones, relatives, leaders of various political and religious parties and a large number of residents of the area.
After the funeral prayers, the bodies of all the victims were taken to Maula Madad Cemetery in the area where they were buried with sighs and sobs.
Strict security arrangements were made for the funeral prayers and burial, and a heavy contingent of police and Rangers was deployed around the Star Ground and the cemetery.
