Actor Akshay Kumar's newly released film 'Bell Bottom' has been banned in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
According to the Bollywood commotion website, actor Akshay Kumar's film 'Bell Bottom' has been released in India and a few other countries, but due to inappropriate content, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait have banned the screening of the film.
Sources told the website that the second part of the film showed how the hijackers were taking the Indian plane from Dubai to Lahore. According to the original incident that took place in 1984, the Minister of Defense of the United Arab Emirates had personally handled the situation and all the hijackers had been arrested.
According to sources, the film 'Bell Bottom' has tried to portray Indian officials and actor Akshay Kumar as heroes and how the operation was kept secret from the UAE Defense Minister. Therefore, there is a strong possibility that the censor boards of the Middle East countries may have raised objections to this part of the film and banned its screening.
However, sources said that the censor board of the United Arab Emirates will probably allow the screening of the film.
