Acting Afghan Defense Minister General Bismillah Khan Mohammadi has also reportedly fled Afghanistan. According to Geo News, Kabul Airport sources said that General Bismillah Khan fled to the United Arab Emirates on a military plane with his sons. However, these reports have not been confirmed by independent sources.
General Bismillah Khan said in a tweet that "I am not so dishonest as to sit with the killers of thousands of soldiers and declare my support for them. We will liberate Afghanistan from these terrorists." Yesterday, General Bismillah Khan Mohammadi had announced his defense of the capital after the Taliban entered Kabul, but he was furious when Ashraf Ghani fled the country.
