Police have arrested 92 people while investigating 407 suspects in connection with the rape of a woman in Minar Pakistan on the occasion of Independence Day, while 3 people are in custody in the Ravi Road incident.
According to police, 40 of the arrested accused have been sent for identification parade, another 30 will be completed soon. According to sources, police have arrested three persons for raping a woman on Ravi Road.
It is learned that one of the accused is from Lahore while the other two are from other districts. If the faces of the intruders in the video are not clear, it will be confirmed on forensic and scientific grounds.
Punjab government spokesman Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said that police teams raided Faisalabad, Kasur and Sheikhupura and arrested 26 more accused. Chung Chi will keep abreast of developments in the case of indecent assault on a woman in a rickshaw.
