Two Iranian Air Force pilots killed

The two pilots were killed when a fighter jet collided head-on with a hangar roof as the "emergency evacuation seats" of a fighter jet opened in Iran.

According to the International News Agency, the evacuation seats opened during the presence of two pilots on the F-5 fighter jet at Dezful Airport near the Iranian capital Tehran and shortly before takeoff.

Due to the opening of the evacuation seats, both pilots were repeatedly and badly hit by the "hangar roof", resulting in their deaths.

Initially, it was said that the evacuation seats were opened by technical error. The Iranian Air Force has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the incident.

It should be noted that the ejector seats have a pilot's seat in the fighter jet which in an emergency comes out of the aircraft with full force with the help of explosives or rocket motor and then the parachute opens automatically which makes the seat. She lands safely, including the pilot.
