Punjab Health Minister visits Jinnah Hospital

 

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid visited Jinnah Hospital where he directed to provide best medical facilities to the injured in the Johar Town blast.

According to details, Dr Yasmeen Rashid directed the doctors and staff of Jinnah Hospital to remain alert and provide all medical facilities. On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Mudassar Riaz said that two children were also among the injured, all medical facilities were being provided at the hospital, law enforcement teams were present at the spot and the condition of seven to eight people was critical.

According to the DIG investigation, the nature of the blast is being determined and the nature of the blast will be informed soon.

It may be recalled that a powerful explosion took place in Johar Town after 11 am today as a result of which several vehicles and motorcycles were badly damaged while a rickshaw was completely destroyed. According to Lahore CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, it is suspected that the bomb was detonated but nothing can be said until the bomb disposal squad and other forensic teams confirm it.

According to an eyewitness, a motorcyclist circled the site of the blast two to three times, then parked the motorcycle and left, shortly after which the explosion occurred.
