How was a woman trapped in a flood rescued? Rescue worker's amazing move

Citizens in the US state of Texas are in dire straits after a torrential downpour turned into a flood. A video of rescue workers bravely rescuing a stranded woman is going viral on social media.

According to US media, the incident took place on May 24. The woman was trying to pass her car through the flood waters near the river but could not stop in front of the flood relay and was swept away.

The woman jumped out of the car and somehow managed to hold on to the branches of a nearby tree.

The video also shows some rescue workers who were present at the scene.

An officer threw a rope at the woman to catch her, then the officer swam to the woman, after which the other officers on the shore pulled the two to the shore with the rope.

According to media reports, fortunately the woman was not injured but she is scared.

On the other hand, the authorities and the administration have urged the people to avoid traveling in vehicles during the floods, and to avoid going inside the flood relay.
