The National Assembly was informed that a uniform national curriculum from grade one to five would be implemented across the country from August this year.
Replying to a question during Question Hour in the National Assembly, Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Vocational Training Wajiha Akram said that all units of the federation have been taken into confidence for curriculum development. In the second phase, uniform national curriculum will be implemented from sixth to eighth grade from next academic year and from ninth to twelfth grade from academic year 24-2023. The purpose of a uniform national curriculum is to provide equal educational opportunities to people of all classes, as well as to create a spirit of national unity and one nation.
