The PTI's majority in the Punjab Assembly is gone

Anchor person Wasim Badami says that with the split of Jahangir Tareen group, the majority of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Punjab has been lost.

Talking on a private TV program, Wasim Badami said that after the separation of Jahangir Tareen group, the majority of PTI would disappear from Punjab. He said that Jahangir Tareen has 32 members in the Provincial Assembly and if all of them join the like-minded group, the PTI's majority in Punjab will be eliminated.

It may be recalled that Jahangir Tareen had invited members of his like-minded group to a dinner at the National and Punjab Assemblies in which it was decided that Tareen group would have its separate representation in both the houses. The Jahangir Tareen group has appointed MNA Raja Riaz from Faisalabad in the National Assembly and Saeed Akbar Nawani from Bhakkar in the Punjab Assembly.
