"Grades will not be given for free," Shafqat Mahmood

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that students will not get grades without examination this year.

Speaking on a private TV program, Shafqat Mahmood said that last year there was a lot of confusion in the grade, hard working children were passed in the C grade. This year we will not give free grades but children will have to take exams. Parents are saying that their children are ready and should be tested.

He said that he does not take decisions alone in the meeting of National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) but all the provincial education ministers are also present. He asked NCOC chief Asad Omar to immediately vaccinate the teachers.
