Cabinet approves ordinance for electronic voting and overseas Pakistanis' vote

The federal cabinet has approved two electoral reform ordinances, under which the Election Commission will be able to use electronic voting machines in elections and provide voting facilities to overseas Pakistanis.

In a media briefing after the cabinet meeting, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the federal cabinet has approved two ordinances, under which the Election Commission will be able to use the electronic voting machine in elections and arrange for overseas Pakistanis to vote.

Fawad Chaudhry said that we want overseas Pakistanis to have the right to vote, PML-N and PPP do not want to give overseas Pakistanis the right to vote, hopefully Bilawal and Shahbaz Sharif will be happy, because they demand this. They were trying to give this role to the Election Commission, so the government gave this role to the Election Commission. The Federal Minister said that these people do not see the role of Parliament, they fall asleep and tarnish the anti-Imran statement. In the case of Bilawal and Maryam, immature politics has been imposed on us but they also have only two or three years.

He further said that non-implementation of Corona SOPs in Karachi could be detrimental to the entire country, adding that the anti-vaccine lobby is active not only in Pakistan but all over the world. Vaccination of people over 40 years of age has been started, the target is to vaccinate 25 million people by July.

Fawad Chaudhry said that he does not give importance to any resolution of the European Union in his internal affairs. The Prime Minister has said that there can be no compromise on the honor of the Holy Prophet. The resolution of the European Union will not affect the internal affairs of Pakistan.
