Attempt to attack Imam of Kaaba during sermon, accused arrested

 
During the sermon during Friday prayers, an unknown person tried to enter the precincts of the Imam of the Kaaba in Baitullah. Police immediately arrested a man dressed in ihram with a stick in his hand. The video of this incident is going viral fast.

A video released from the Twitter account of Haramain Sharifain said, "This incident took place while the Imam of the Kaaba, Sheikh Baleela, was delivering a Friday sermon. A man came running and tried to enter the precincts of the Imam of the Kaaba, who was immediately apprehended and arrested. The tweet also said the man had a stick in his hand, which is not clear in the video.

The arrested person is under investigation. Earlier in April of the same year, a member of a terrorist organization was arrested from a harem with a dagger. According to police, the man was also seen on the first floor a day before Asr prayers. However, a full investigation is now underway.

Earlier, in October last year, a man tried to enter the Kaaba with a speeding vehicle through a door of the Haram Sharif. No one was killed or injured in the incident.
