Rashad Badiuddin, a Muslim MP, was arrested along with his brother in Sri Lanka in connection with the 2019 Easter attack.
According to foreign media, the Muslim leader and his brother were arrested from their residence in Colombo.
Sri Lankan police confirmed the arrest of Muslim leader and MP Rashad Badiuddin, saying the Muslim leader had been detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
A police spokesman said there was scientific evidence linking Rashad Badiuddin to the Easter attacks.
