Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that in view of the third wave of Corona virus, what will be closed and what will remain open, the outline has been prepared, if the lockdown is to be done before Eid.
Speaking on a program on a private TV channel, Dr Faisal Sultan said that the decisions of the National Command and Control Center would be reviewed in four days. Only after seeing the situation can there be more difficulties, cities with positive cases can be locked down. If SOPs are not implemented, lockdown will be imposed. Efforts are being made to improve with additional measures.
Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the duration of lockdown can be minimum 10 days and maximum 2 weeks. During the first two waves of Corona, the rate of Corona cases in Karachi was high. The current wave of corona should be taken seriously, the third wave of corona virus is very dangerous, caution must be exercised. People move more around Eid. If there is a lockdown, it will happen before Eid.
Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the NCOC has been instructed regarding the election of NA-249, but we have not received any response from them. NA-249 by-elections should be postponed in view of Corona.
