Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that due to wise decisions of the provincial government, the situation today is not as bad as other provinces.
In an important statement issued from Karachi, the provincial information minister said that the meeting in constituency 249 has been postponed on the directive of PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
He said that the decision to adjourn the meeting in NA-249 was taken by the PPP chairman in view of the Corona virus situation.
Nasir Hussain Shah added that the Sindh government has played a leading role in preventing the corona virus from the very beginning.
He said that due to wise decisions of Sindh government, the situation in the province today is not as bad as in other provinces of the country.
The Sindh Information Minister also said that Sindh is the only province which has set up a separate hospital for Covid 19 in Karachi. More Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospitals are also being set up in other districts.
He said that Sindh government has set up special wards in all hospitals for the treatment of Corona patients.
Nasir Shah said that Punjab Health Minister should improve health facilities in his province instead of criticizing Sindh government.
He said that Sindh government has spent a large part of its budget for prevention and treatment of corona virus due to global epidemic.
The Sindh Information Minister said that we have allocated Rs 1.5 billion for the purchase of Corona vaccine. In the first phase, we will buy 10 million doses of the vaccine.
He said that the Sindh government under the guidance of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has taken important steps to save the people from Kovid-19. If the federal government had followed the suggestions of the Sindh government, the situation would have been better.
Nasir Shah added that Sindh hospitals have a good supply of ventilators, oxygen and other essentials while the provincial government is taking further steps to control the corona virus.
