Actress Kirron Kher, wife of Indian actor Anupam Kher, has been diagnosed with blood cancer and is undergoing treatment in Mumbai, India.
Kirron Kher is a leading figure in politics as well as acting and is a Chandigarh MP from India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
Anupam Kher has confirmed on Twitter that his wife actress Kiran Kher is suffering from blood cancer and said that Kiran Kher is undergoing treatment.
According to BJP state president Arun Sood, on November 11, Kirron Kher suffered a fracture in his left arm which he came to know about during treatment.
According to Arun Sood, after being diagnosed with the disease at an early stage, Kirron Kher went to Mumbai on December 4 for her treatment.

He added that it would take three to four months for Kiran Kher to recover.
Kirron Kher has acted in many successful films so far including Mangal Pandey, Rang De Basanti, Veer Zara, Devdas, Mein Hoon Na, Dostana, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Fana and Total Siyapa.
She has also acted in several television shows.
Born in Indian Punjab, Kirron Kher joined the BJP in 2009 and campaigned for the party in the elections. Then, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP fielded her from the Chandigarh seat and she reached Parliament for the first time.
