Turkish President Recep Tayyab Erdogan has announced a nationwide lockdown from April 29.
An important meeting of the Turkish cabinet was held in view of the growing cases of Corona, after which President Erdogan announced a lockdown. He said the lockdown would be in force across the country from April 29 to May 17. During this time, not only will businesses be closed, but inter-provincial movement will also be restricted.
Recep Tayyab Erdogan said that we have to reduce the number of Corona cases to 5,000 on a daily basis and if this does not happen, we will face consequences in every sector including tourism and trade.
It should be noted that the situation in Corona in Turkey has taken a worrying turn. On April 16, 63,000 cases of corona were reported in Turkey, but on Sunday, 39,000 cases were reported across the country. The number of cases of corona in Turkey on Monday was 37 thousand while 353 deaths were also reported.
