The brave man lost his way at sea and waved on the waves for 13 months and managed to keep himself alive.
According to media reports, Jose Salvador, 35, left the Pacific Ocean on November 17, 2012, with a young companion Ezequiel, to go fishing in a village in southern Mexico. He kept pushing their boat for days and they got lost.
When Jose caught a bird for the first time, Jose cut it into pieces like a living hen, and the blood of those birds gave him the precious fluid to save his life. Jose did not care that reporters told him the story. Believe it or not, scientists later said that Jose's 6,000-mile journey was possible. Jose later published a book, 438 Days, in collaboration with journalist Jonathan Franklin.
