The Lahore High Court has disposed of the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) petition filed against PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz.
According to private TV, the NAB had requested Maryam Nawaz to appear before the NAB on March 26 alone. The court, while hearing a petition filed by the NAB, remarked that it was the duty of the state to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of the people.
Why have you come to court on this matter, under what law can we issue an order in this matter? Where is the state, it is the job of the state to call the Rangers or the army for public safety, why are you dragging the court in such cases. The law will take its course on violating the law. NAB's request was disposed of.
