Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has shortlisted four candidates for the by-election in NA-249 Karachi.
After the PTI Parliamentary Board meeting held at Governor House Karachi, the names of four candidates have been shortlisted and sent to Prime Minister Imran Khan. The final decision on NA-249 candidate will be taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to private TV, Junaid Lakhani and Amjad Afridi are among the four candidates shortlisted.
It may be recalled that the NA-249 seat was vacated after the resignation of Faisal Wawda. He left the National Assembly seat and was elected a senator. The PTI had fielded 18 candidates in the constituency. On the other hand, former finance minister Muftah Ismail has been nominated by the PML-N in this constituency after which he has also started his election campaign.
