In India, airport staff arrested a couple who smuggled goods worth crores of rupees abroad.
According to details, Indian customs officials during a search of a couple at Campigoda International Airport (KIA) in Bangalore, Karnataka, recovered iPhones worth Rs 2.8 crore from their luggage.
Customs officials told Indian media yesterday that they had recovered 206 new iPhones 12 Pro and Pro Max mobile phones from the possession of two passengers on Sunday night.
According to Indian media reports, 37 debit and credit cards used in the purchase of these phones have also been confiscated from them.
The couple was immediately taken into custody and transferred to the police station, after which the couple was produced before a magistrate from where they were remanded in judicial custody till March 12.
