Speaking on the occasion of attending an awareness session on “Mediaka Role in TB Diagnosis and Prevention” organized by Punjab TB Control Program at Primary and Secondary Health Care Department, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that the Punjab Government Under the Punjab TB Control Program, one lakh 53 thousand nine hundred and seventy registered patients are being provided free facility of diagnosis and treatment and an awareness campaign on TB disease is being run across Punjab this week. After screening five lakh people in 2020, one lakh 53,070 people were diagnosed with TB, 10,817 children were also diagnosed with TB during the screening, Pakistan is the fifth most visited TB country in the world with 30 cases of TB, the Punjab government said. The treatment costs a whopping Rs 111 billion.
The provincial minister said that more than 1 million cyanoform vaccines would arrive on March 28, 6 million vaccines of concoction and cyanoform would arrive by April 15. The Punjab government has allocated a risky amount of 150 150 million for coronaviruses. ۔
