Nigerian Gunmen released hundreds of schoolgirls who were kidnapped from a school in the Nigerian state of Zamfara, governor said in a tweet, “bringing to an end four days of captivity that rocked Africa’s most populous nation.”
Dozens of armed men kidnapped more than 300 schoolgirls between the ages of 11 and 20 from a Government Girls Science Secondary School in the small town of Jangebe. The kidnapped was the second in just over a week in Nigeria’s northwest, where a pour in armed militancy has led to a more severe breakdown of security. Kidnapping for ransom has become a profitable industry in Nigeria.
