In the foreign funding case, the Election Commission decided to issue a notice to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and sought a report from the scrutiny committee.
According to details, a three-member bench headed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa member Irshad Qaiser heard the petition of Akbar S. Babar regarding the Foreign Funding Case Scrutiny Committee in the Election Commission. While giving, he said, the PTI official admitted that funds came from outside into the accounts of his employees. Lawyer Ahmed Hassan said that if the details of PTI's overseas accounts are collected, then provide them. Member Election Commission Irshad Qaiser inquired whether the committee had collected any record itself, to which Akbar S. Babar said that the evidence In response to why PTI records are being kept secret, it is illegal to keep PTI records secret. We assured the Election Commission that the material would not be misused. He said that access to the record presented in the scrutiny committee is our legal right, the committee is not providing the document because one party is angry. ۔ The ECP adjourned the hearing of the case till March 22 and sought a report from the scrutiny committee on the next hearing.
